Live Jazz is offered Fridays and Saturdays evenings in the best lounge in Chicago at Tortoise Supper Club. Seating in the swanky, dimly lit lounge for dinner can be reserved by calling 312-755-1700. If you are looking for cocktails and jazz only, seating is first come first serve.

The setting is intimate

Came here for girls night and had a wonderful time. The setting is intimate with live jazz in the background. I ordered oysters, scallop risotto, and ended it with chocolate praline house made ice cream. The food was fresh and delicious.

awesome jazz bar feel

I was super surprised by how much I enjoyed it!! You don’t normally hear this name thrown around when thinking about amazing Chicago steakhouses, but I feel this is a “little hidden gem.” The ambiance really was something special – at the bar was the awesome jazzbar feel, then the restaurant was nicely, romantically lit. The food was, obviously, incredible. … Finally, the service and our waiter was so amazing!

The Piano: Part of Our History

Keene’s grandmother, Sarah Armour, was a great philanthropist of music in Chicago. A musician herself, the CSO, Ravinia, and the Lyric Opera all benefited from her passionate support. The Steinway Grand Concert Piano at Tortoise Supper Club was gifted to Sarah on her 10th birthday in 1919.
